I just finished reading Scarcity: The New Science of Having Less and How It Defines Our Lives, and can’t recommend it enough. And yes, it appears that the subtitle magically changed from hardcover to paperback – it’s the book also known as Scarcity: Why Having Too Little Means So Much.
Almost dying in a car accident 15 years ago made me realize how quickly everything can end. So… tl;dr, I’m obsessed with efficiency. This book really changed the way I look at time and money, and how thinking of everything as being limited actually changes the way our brain works.
